We held our annual Commissioning Service at Broxbourne, a cherished event where we formally recognize those entrusted with new and those continuing with responsibilities following our Annual General Meeting. This tradition is not only a significant start to the church year but also a reflection of biblical commissioning practices. It was a joyful occasion as we launched our pastorate theme of Harmony and also welcomed four new members into our congregation, James, Wendy, Laurence and Liz, marking their formal inclusion

The team of Bite, Bite, Woodall and Woodall has been the driving force behind the May Market for many, many years and it works well, however, we are as nothing without the support and hands-on hard work of the church family. So again, together, we did it! We raised an incredible £2237.95 a really significant contribution to church funds, and offering an accessible and welcoming outreach to our neighbours. Swift numbers have declined by 62% since the mid 90’s. One reason for this decline is that many of their traditional nest sites, in gaps and crevices under tiles and in the eaves of houses, are being lost when buildings are improved. A drop in art group is held monthly at Broxbourne URC. It runs from 1.45 - 3.30 pm on a chosen afternoon each month. Just drop in to spend a little time exploring with pencils/paints/pastels/charcoal and paper. Everyone is welcome. There is no cost. There is also an option to add the resulting artwork to a display in the church hall.

"I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that God who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." (Philippians 1:3-6) Reflecting on our shared journey, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunities we have had to grow together in

For those who have not heard the story of the War Memorial Tablet, it was consecrated in 1921 at the Congregational Church in Hoddesdon and bears 12 names of members who gave their lives during the 1914-18 war. When the church was demolished in the mid 1960s it was salvaged and brought to be stored at 91 High Road, Broxbourne, which was being used by the congregation during the building of our new and very modern one.
